maximum motor's torque

Post by luca.lucci » Fri Nov 16, 2012 5:01 am

Hello,
I'm unsing an RMP 440 LE. What is the maximum motor's tork? Can I mount tires with bigger diameter (say 70 cm with a payload of 60 kg?)

Thank you

The maximum torque at the gearbox output is 100 Nm. Putting larger tires on the platform will reduce the force applied at the contact patch which will reduce the ability to turn in place.

It really comes down to the surface you want to operate on. On high traction surfaces you may have trouble with the larger tires; on smooth concrete there should be no issue. If the larger tires are "smooth" with a low coefficient of friction for the surface in question they could have similar performance.
