Windows 8 driver

Is there a Windows 8 driver for RMP 440 FLEX-OMNI? When I try to install the driver from RMP_APP_INSTALLER_040813 on Windows 8, I get an error: "The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information."

That is an expected message. Our drivers do not contain digital signatures, and a similar message appears when they are installed on Windows 7.

I do not have a Windows 8 machine to test it on, but is it possible to continue with the install anyway?

No, unlike Windows 7, it did not give me an option to continue with the install.
However, I just found the following fix for this issue that I will try out.

Basically, it lets you have windows 8 prompt you to continue with the installation like win 7.

You should just be able to go into the device manager and update the driver manually. I have a windows 8 pro at home for testing and can give you instructions if you need them. Let us know how it works out, so we can add some instructions in a sticky.

The steps in the microsoft link in my prior reply worked:

• From the Metro or Desktop, bring up Charms by mousing over to the right of the screen
  Go to Settings
  More PC Settings
  Power
  Hold shift down, and click Restart
  Trouble shoot
  Advanced options
  Startup Settings
  Restart
  7 for 'Disable driver signature enforcement'
  PC reboots
  Install the relevant driver, allowing the non signed driver to install.

If installed using the default folder locations, there is a Python sample tele-operation application called "RMP Demo OCU" found here: C:\Program Files\Segway\RMP_Applications\RMP_Demo_OCU_Application
